Nest 30 minutes to temp

Js6

I have a 3rd generation Nest thermostat.  My current temp is 70 degrees.  I turned it up to 72 and it says "in 30 minutes". Why is this happening? It should start to heat up right away.

Hello Js6,

Thank you so much for posting in this community. I’m sorry to hear that your Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd generation is taking too long to activate the heating mode. Don't worry; I'm here to help.

To provide you with accurate troubleshooting steps, I would appreciate your assistance in answering the following questions:

  • When did the issue start?

  • What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started?

  • Are there any error messages? If so, what are they exactly?

  • Is this a new installation?

  • When was the last maintenance check for your HVAC system?

  • Have there been any recent changes or upgrades to your HVAC system?

  • Have you experienced any power outages within the last few days or weeks?

  • Could you attach a picture of the wiring configuration connected to your thermostat?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Best regards,

Daniel

I've attached my wiring info. This has been going on for a while but I never really thought about it being an issue until it got so cold outside. I did have someone come look at it this week. They said it was working properly but it just can't keep up when it's so cold outside. They did find too many vents partially closed in my house. The only unusual issue is that I had a humidifier attached to the unit. I have it turned off and don't use it but in the past few weeks, it starts buzzing when the heater goes on. I have the wall switch for the humidifer(which is directly above my nest) turned off. Other than that, nothing has happened,
