We purchased the nest thermostat 3rd generation and had it installed today. Upon setting it up, we noticed the temperature the thermostat says is inaccurate with what the actual temperature is. It’s reading about 7-8 degrees higher than what the actual temperature is. We’ve already tried restarting the thermostat and no luck. Any guidance on how to fix this?

I’m having the same issue. Might have been installed for a couple of months. Came home from a business trip and my house is freezing at the thermostat says it’s 78°. I’ve reset it but still not sensing the correct temperature. First time I’ve experienced this
