Cooling from heat pump would not come on. Unit and fan would come on but not cool. Service technician said mixing valve not getting power signal to switch. I swapped thermostat body with my second zone and the cooling then works, Original thermostat body placed on second zone and it does not work. Did a "factory reset" and setup and it still does not cool. Software is up to date and wiring is the same on both thermostats.

Hello folks,
I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
Thanks for sharing the article, Jake, and for the input, Diana.
@mavelis, have you had a chance to check what was shared above? I would also love to know more about this. Could you please share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring? Lastly, check the power readings on your actual thermostat's Technical Info settings.
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark

Thanks to all.
I have two identical thermostats, two zones.
Wiring on both is the same.
Software is up to date.
Zone 1 would not go to cooling as I originally wrote. I swapped the thermostat bodies and Zone 1 would then work. My conclusion is that it is not the wiring, voltage or HVAC equipment. The logical answer is the thermostat body.
Is there any testing or troubleshooting steps for the body alone.

Hello mavelis,
I appreciate the steps you've taken to switch your Nest Thermostats, but there appears to be an issue with its base. We'd like to take a closer look at this.
Could you please fill out this form with the needed information? A member of our support team will be in touch over email to help.
