Nest 3rd generation thermostat broken

The thermostat stopped working, black screen with blinking red lights, I took it off the base, charged it for few hours, red lights turned to flashing green, attached it to the base, and still not working. 

I noticed two of the  plastic tabs are broke during this process, so now I can’t even mount the unit, can you buy the white plastic back of the unit? The unit is out of warranty.
