I just recently got a new AC and furnace. For years I had the original nest and figured that since I was going to this expense I would go all out and get the latest nest and control humidity from it. After wasting about 3 hours resetting it numerous times to try to get it to control humidity it final seems the issue is that you need a pro id to just identify the * terminal as a humidifier. Are you kidding me Google what a bunch of crap. This is one wire on a standard setup. I guess I will be contacting them to return it. So disappointed in what they have done. Also the fact that they leave enough info but (don't mention that none of it works unless you have a pro id) that you waste hours.wish we could charge them for wasting my time.
