Nest 4th Gen Thermostat -- Duel Fuel Heat Pump Wiring Issues

@Nest  I have a Rheem Classic Series Package Gas Electric HVAC Unit  RGEA15 Series Model # RGEA15 048 AJV XAA. The system documentation says it has a Heat Pump a Duel Fuel System with Gas/Electric. I purchased the Nest 4th Generation Learning Thermostat to replace a Pro1 Model T705 thermostat. The wires into the old Thermostat were

Red - Rc (With a Jumper to Rh)
Green - G
Yellow - Y
White - W
Blue - B

There was a Jumper between Rc to Rh. So a total of 5 wires. Initially I set up the wires on the 4th Gen as follows:

Red - Rc
Green - G
Yellow - Y1
White - W2/Aux
Blue - B

The system in cool or heat will start and then immediately shut off. I have tested the Red wire and have a constant 24 Volts, but I've been told I need a C wire power adaptor, or a Nest Power Connector placed at the Unit itself on the roof. Are the C wire power adaptor and the nest power connector the same thing? The power connector seems more complex as it appears to install at the main unit on the roof. I have replkaced the old thermostat and the system works fine, so this has to be some communication software issue right?

I'm hoping someone will recognize the Rheem model and have some advice to help me out!

Thank you so much!

@SuperstringX

Give this wiring a try,

Blue - B to O/B

White - W to W2/AUX

Yellow - Y to Y1

Green - G to G

You will also need to change the O/B setting.

Nest Learning Thermostat
  1.  On your thermostat, go to Settings Patrick_Caezza_0-1736988644783.png

    .
  2. Select Equipment.
  3. Select Continue Patrick_Caezza_1-1736988644780.png

    Continue.
  4. Select Heat Pump.
  5. The Nest Thermostat defaults to an O setting for heat
    pumps.
    • If the O option is highlighted, select B.
    • If the B option is highlighted, select O.
  6. Test your heating and cooling again to make sure the issue is resolved.
