The Google Home App links to the thermostat but does not show a reset password.

Thanks for posting in the community. I understand you're having difficulties unlocking your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) and are looking for a way to reset the PIN. No worries, I'd be glad to help you with this.

To unlock your thermostat using the Google Home app, please follow these steps:

  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap Favorites or Devices.
  • Select your thermostat.
  • Tap Settings > Thermostat.
  • Tap Lock > confirm to unlock the thermostat. 

To reset the PIN for your Nest Thermostat in the Google Home app, you'll need to know the current PIN. If you don't have it, you won't be able to reset it through the app.
