Nest E Activity History only showing Away

I have installed a Nest E.  Home & Away assist is turned on with only the Nest E being used to work out if I'm home or away.  The Activity history is only showing Away events so I cannot tell why it is sometimes showing Home when I'm not home.

Do you have your home location set up in the Google Home app?

And does the Home app has enough rights on your phone to use the location services? 🙂

My home location is setup but I don't want to use my phone location for Home and Away assist.  I only want to use the Nest E sensor.  In Activity History it shows when there has been no activity detected by the Nest E and sets it to Away but it doesn't show when activity is detected by the Nest E to set it to Home.

@PeterScriven, thanks for letting us know. I did find a helpful link with some troubleshooting steps; make sure that "What Decides if you're Home" is enabled and try restarting your Nest thermostat to refresh. Have a look at this article and let us know if you need more help.

I've restarted it.  I still only have away Away entries in the Activity History.  I'll check tomorrow to give it 24hrs

Unfortunately, it still doesn't appear to be working. I only have Away entries in the Activity History.  It appears to be starting the heating correctly so it knows someone is in the flat.  It just doesn't seem to be recording it in the Activity History.
