Nest E Thermostat Display White Screen

I have a new Nest E Thermostat that installed fine and is working with the boiler. However, the display on the unit is showing a blank white backlit screen. I have tried rebooting and charging with a micro-USB but nothing works. The software is up to date (2024) but still nothing. Any suggestions?

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. A few questions: do you see any blinking light on your thermostat? How long did you charge your thermostat? Also, in what country are you located?

I'm in the UK and the thermostat is fully charged. Blinking lights only appear when the front display is removed.
