Nest E has stopped auto scheduling after update 6.1.1-2. Yes I have reset it already. How do I fix?

I have tried resetting the device several times after a week still no new set points have been created.  This issue started post 6.1.1-2 update on my nest E.   Did Google decide they no longer want the E to be a learning and disable it?  How do I roll back the software to last version?
