I am in my house after 4:00 pm, but my Thermostat still automatically switches to 'Away' sometime between 5:00 & 9:00. I used to have my Thermostat decide when I'm home using my phone, but deselected the phone hoping that may be the problem, but it still occurs.
Is it possible to have my thermostat always see me at home? I am at home 23+ hours a day, only go out to walk my dog & don't even take my phone.
Any suggestions of what I can/should do to stop this from happening?
I typically go to bed 8 8:30, and have woken up in the middle of the night with the thermostat thinking I am 'away', setting itself to 'Eco' and the temperature being in 60 (which is a bit cold for me, I have it scheduled to be 69 at night)
Thanks,
Mike

Hi mikeatthemeadow,
Phone location can make Home/Away Assist more accurate, but it can be disabled if you want.
To disable phone location, follow these steps:

It seemed so simple, so I thought it would, but no it hasn't.
With my early morning dog walks I take my phone with me, so I'd expect it to switch to 'Away' while I'm out of the house, then switch back when I get home, But about 1 - 2 hours after I get home it switches to 'Away' (after I've been home for a while🤔) and only switches to 'Home' if I switch it.
Then for our afternoon walks (only about 10 minutes) I leave my phone at home and it still switches to 'Away` ( about an hour after iI am back home). If I don't switch it myself to 'Home' before going to bed, it gets really cold (cold for me at least) I have it schedule =d to be 68, but it drops on Eco down to 60.

Hey mikeatthemeadow,
Thanks for the update. I know it's been a while, I'm sorry for that. Could you please try removing your Nest Thermostat from the app then do an Account Connection reset on your thermostat? After that, add your thermostat back to the app and make sure to allow the location for Home/Away Assist.
You can follow these steps on how to do an Account Connection reset:
