I purchased a new Nest Gen 3 Learning Thermostat and wanted to install it, but when I was going through the app for wiring directions, and it said I needed a pro. I have a heat pump with electric aux strips in the handler. Wondering if I am missing something or if it is just a matter of selecting the appropriate settings after wiring everything up as it is on the current thermostat. Any insight would be appreciated.
Below is a list of configurations highlighted that my current thermostat supports, and I think that I highlighted what is being used currently.

Highlighted line seems to be the configuration

Hi Glazed,
Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.
By looking at the photo, it looks like it is compatible with Nest Learning Thermostat. I've got things to verify for us to further isolate the issue. Did you connect the blue wire to the C terminal on Nest Thermostat? There's also an unused black wire. Did you check where it is connected from your main HVAC board?
Also, once all wires are being connected to your Nest Thermostat, go to settings > equipment then select the right heat type and source.
Let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Ryan
