Nest Gen 3 wifi issues

My Google Home app shows that my thermostat is not connected but when I log into my router I can see that it's connected. It's connected to a Nest gateway like my camera and nest Yale lock. I see the lock and the camera but not the thermostat. I can see the thermostat has an IP address, is connected via 5ghz, and has a strong signal. Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, my thermostat shows offline on my Google Home app, but when I go to the thermostat it says it's connected.  I have had nothing but trouble with the Nest thermostat since I bought it.

Hello folks,

I'm sorry to hear that you're both having issues with your Nest thermostats that went offline or disconnected from your Wi-Fi network. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

To isolate:

 

  • Could you tell us what type of Nest Thermostat you have?
  • How far away is it from your router?
  • Gather the power readings in the Technical Info settings or Equipment settings.
  • Please provide a rundown of all the steps you've tried.
