Nest H72 error

Hi,

This afternoon out of the blue our 3rd Gen thermostat throws up a H72 error. No power outage, no Wi-Fi issues, no work being done, all fuses fine (none tripped). Any suggestions on how to fix this please?

Many thanks

Hi @FZF85,

Thanks for posting on the community forum. I understand that your Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen) is showing an H72 error code for no apparent reason, as there haven't been any power outages or work done that could have caused the error. I appreciate the detailed information you've shared. No worries, let's work together to get this resolved. To better support you, I have a few questions:

  •  What's the light status in your Heat Link? For more information about your Heat Link's light, please check out the next article: Heat Link lights and what they mean.
  • Was your Nest Thermostat working before?
  • Is your Nest Thermostat display installed on a stand?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Regards,
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan

The heatlink is displaying no lights - power is going to it, confirmed by a contractor, but it isn't working. Thermostat is wall mounted and was working perfectly fine until Sunday afternoon. No trouble shooting works as the heatlink isn't working.

Thanks

Hi @FZF85,

Thanks for your response. I appreciate you taking the time to answer the questions. Since a contractor has already confirmed that power is going to the Heat Link, but there are no lights on it, the team would like to learn more about this behavior. When you get a chance, please fill out this form and let us know when you’re finished. We’ll have someone reach out to you via email from there.

Sincerely,
Jonathan
