Nest Heatlink - no power, dead unit

Hi,

I have a 3rd gen nest thermostat that will no longer connect to my heatlink, the thermostat itself looks fine.  The heatlink was installed in July 2020 and has been working fine up until last week.  We've had no power cuts and no maintenance on the boiler (service is in two weeks), the heatlink has just stopped working.

There is no power going to the heatlink, there are no lights coming on.  The heatlink is installed to only control the heating, hot water is working fine.  I cannot manually override and turn the heating on by pressing the button.  How do I go about getting a replacement?

That's a simple answer!!

Faulty Heat Link

This is a known problem with the heat links, and I bet your heat link has the words ''Nest'' on the button?

Call this number and tell them your problem, they will pass you onto a senior advisor. You will be looked after.

You say no lights on the heat link..

You say no power going to the heat link

You have one of two possibilities!

First, is there power at the heat link? No - your problem is the power source, not the thermostat.

Second, if power at the heat link, and no lights - Heat Link faulty

Obviously when checking the power to the heat link make sure you also have a neutral, not just a live.

Hi, many thanks for the reply.  There is power to the heatlink and yes I have a neutral, not just a live.  The heatlink is definitely faulty.  It was working in the morning and then the thermostat lost connectivity.  Power is still going to the unit, I have checked this but there is no activity at all on the heatlink, no lights, no ability to manually override.   I have tried powering it off for an extended period and then powering on but still no activity despite power being delivered.

I need to get the heatlink replaced just not sure how to go about this.

Hey @Nanor,

Sorry for the late reply. Did you manage to resolve the issue in the meantime? I'd love to help.

Yes, all sorted.  Contacted support with the number supplied by Frustratedddd and have had a new heatlink sent out.  Installed and working as expected now.
