Nest Help - Heating Timers Can I Set Them So My Heating Isn’t On All Day/Night???

Hi there, 

I am totally new to this! We had our new boiler fitted a few weeks back and I opted to have the Nest fitted aswell! 

I liked the fact I would be able to control it from my phone etc. Now my issue I am experiencing at the moment is I can turn my heating on and off not a problem BUT when I turn it on say at 6/7pm if I forget to turn it off which then results in the heats being on for far tooo many hours than needed. 

my question here is : IS THERE ANY WAY OF SETTING A WAY TO PUT A TIMER ON FOR SAY 2/3hr??

I am curious why it is constantly running, once your home reaches the desired temperature the furnace should turn off?  Does your nest not do this?
