Nest Learning Thermostat Generation 3 cannot connect to wifi

My Nest thermostat has suddenly decided it can't find or connect to any WiFi.
It has been perfect  since I bought it. However yesterday it said not connected to WiFi. I have gone into network settings on Nest and get the message "Your network may be hidden or too far away". I have reset the network settings on Nest. I have rebooted my WiFi router several times, I have done a full reset to factory settings on Nest.  Every other device in my home is working perfectly on my WiFi. I have even removed the only other wireless devices in the room to remove any chances of interference. The Nest still gives the same message. The Nest is about 1 meter away from the router. My router supports both 2.4 & 5 GHz and they are named differently so there could be no confusion there.

Hi @blaw0313,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand your frustration with your Nest Thermostat suddenly losing its Wi-Fi connection after working perfectly. This isn't the experience I want for you, and I'm here to help you get this resolved.

I appreciate your time you took to perform troubleshooting steps. To assist with troubleshooting, could you please provide the following information?

  • Do you see error codes in the Nest Thermostat display or app?
  • Do you control your thermostat from the Nest or Google Home app or by the thermostat's display?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the thermostat?

I look forward to your response so we can find a solution for you soon.

Regards,

Gabriela
