Nest Learning Thermostat Not turning on heatpump

Need some opinions on the setup of this wiring. Ignore the unplugged wires, I was in the process of uninstalling the thermostat because I gave up. (The white wire was in the W1 and the brown wire is the C wire)

I think the nest thermostat is just defective because it's not turning on my heatpump at all.

Heres my old wiring config. (It is a heatpump + gas setup)

Thanks for your input!

Hi FrogLedood,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. Based on your description, it looks like the wiring is correct. Could you tell us more about what's happening? Are you getting any messages when you call for heating or cooling?

Thanks,

Edward

Hi Edward,

No messages on the nest, when I call for heating/cooling the blower turns on but the heat pump doesnt do anything.

I just chatted with someone at google nest and they determined my nest needs to be replaced. Hopefully, the new one will work.

Thanks,

Andrew
