Nest Learning Thermostat heat will not turn off

It has been installed for about a year and half and I have had the issues a couple of times where the heat does not turn off after the temp is reached. It seems to mainly happen when first going from AC to heat. I would have to turn off the breaker and let it sit for a bit then it would work as it should. Now it just keeps running the heat all the time. I have a heatpump system.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that your heating does not turn off, even though your thermostat has already reached its target temperature. Are you located in North America or Europe? Remove the thermostat display from the base and wait about five minutes, then check if your system turns off or stays on.
