Our recently installed Nest Learning thermostat started making beeping sounds two days after being installed. Everything was working fine prior to this morning. The app isn’t telling what the issue might be. It seems to be making 11 beeps every 45 seconds. Please help!

I suggest you turn off the nest learning immediately. It’s a nightmare because it then establishes an auto schedule (based on what it thinks you want) that you can’t get to see. So it often turns the heating on when you are there but want it off or turns it off when you are home but, just because you don’t walk past the thermostat it thinks you are out so sets up a schedule with the heating off.. there is no way of switching between your schedule and auto schedule - it imposes auto schedule on you. Only way to delete auto schedule is to reset factory settings.

Hi folks,
Thanks for reaching out. I'd like to know more about it. A few questions: in what country are you located? Do you have a C wire? Please go to your thermostat's Equipment, then check if you can find any messages or codes there. Also, please share with us your thermostat's power readout.
You can follow the guide below:
I appreciate the input, @Bridgemaster.
Best,
Jenelyn

hi Jenelyn
thanks for the reply but not my query. I just replied to urge the user to turn off learning mode without delay as it causes so many problems.
why doesn’t Google Nest do something that we all want: a boost option for heating and also a holiday mode like Hive has. My GF has a Nest and hates it and would change to Hive if she could.
She has a problem that after resetting to factory settings (as the only way to get rid of the awful auto schedule) we then had to turn off the pre heat mode as heating kept coming on at 3am. That worked for two days until she used eco mode and now it starts to come on again in the middle of the night. I’ve suggested she sets pre heat to maximum of 5 minutes but we don’t hold out much hope that will work for more than a day or so.

Hello everyone,
I'm jumping in to make sure everything is covered here.
Thanks for the help here, Jenelyn.
@Marialma, in addition to what was shared by Jenelyn, it appears that the clicking sound you're hearing directly on your Nest Thermostat is most likely a power-related issue. To sum up the questions above, could you provide a rundown of all the steps you've tried? Can you share with us your old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring setup? Also, gather the power readings being asked so we can check the voltage your thermostat is receiving.
@Bridgemaster, I appreciate you posting here in this thread, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience the smart learning features caused you. To avoid confusion on this thread, as I see you have different concerns, we'd suggest you please create a new thread so we can better look into it.
Regards,
Mark
