Hi ssngb,

Thanks for bringing this up here in the Google Nest Community. Let's see what's going on. Are you getting any kind of error code other than the message you see on the screen when you're trying to get a key code?

If there’s no error code. Let’s reset the Nest Thermostat to factory reset and start fresh. Follow the steps below:

Remove the Nest Thermostat from your Google Home app.

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings Remove device Remove.

Once done, reset the Nest Thermostat to factory reset.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. select Factory Reset.
  3. Your thermostat will ask you to confirm your choice. Once you've confirmed, your thermostat will take a few moments to reset.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Renz
