Nest Learning Thermostat won't wireless pair with heat hub after factory reset

I had to factory reset a perfectly functioning installation of learning thermostat and heat hub. After reset, the thermostat could only use the wired link to heat hub, but want able to re-establish the wireless link.

I tried all options on the thermostat settings menu and restarted the heat link several times, to no avail

Any clue would be greatly appreciated. Tx.

First check in Technical - Heat Link to see if the entry key matches the entry key on the heat link left hand fixing screw. You might have an unmatched set.

The whole set was working perfectly. I just had to do a factory reset of the thermostat because I had it installed in Google home app in the wrong home. After the factory reset, the wired link works fine, but I could not establish the wireless link.

The wired install will always connect, but I take it you have checked the Heat Link entry key in Tech and all is correct?

Thanks a lot for keeping up with me. I did follow all the available procedures in the setup menu, including the one requesting to the include the code. Yet no success.

Sorry, I wasn't clear: I did enter again the key shown on the side of the hub.

Assuming you have a matched pair, and the entry key is the one in the Tech page, I would reset to factory again. After factory reset, press and hold the button on the heat link for about 30 seconds until the blue light pulses. Do that twice. Remove the display from the mount, and squeeze together and hold until you see the house, then release, do that twice also, replace display on mount. Now try setting up the stat.

These stats have a mind of their own at times.
