1-ORIGINAL (old) thermostat
2-NEW Nest thermostat
3-NEW Nest thermostat WIRING = no heat
The OLD thermostat ran from 5 wires: RED (power), WHITE (heat), GREEN (fan), and BLUE (unknown). Also a "jumper" wire. Also a YELLOW wire (not used; tucked out of sight). The NEW Nest thermostat recognizes connections with the RED, WHITE, and GREEN wires – but not the BLUE.
Is our BLUE wire in the wrong place (Where should it go?) Should our YELLOW wire be connected (to Y1 or Y2)?
Any ideas?? Many thanks!

Hi preslinc,
Thanks for posting and for the photos.
The other wires' terminals has the buttons pressed indicating that the wires are properly plugged in. I suggest pushing the C wire deeper into the terminal until the button on the side deepens.
Keep us posted.
Best,
Mel

problem SOLVED.
We looked for an electrician, and found several who advertised they solve Nest thermostat problem.
He fixed it. And Bob’s your uncle.
