Nest Renew Taking Action without my Permission?

JF190
Community Member

I just received an email that says: "

To help your home use energy more efficiently as it gets cooler outside, Nest Renew will decrease your scheduled temperatures slightly on March 7, 2023. Small enough you might not even notice them, but big enough to help you save energy and support a clean energy future.

But I never signed up for Nest Renew!

Anyone else get this?

Hello JF190,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

I'm sure it's confusing to have a subscription that you didn't sign up for. To be sure, I found an article with steps on how to sign in to the Nest Renew. Please try signing in with the email address associated with your Nest Thermostat. If you're successfully logged in, you've joined the program. Also, if you opt out to continue unlinking it, there's a step to cancel the Nest Renew service.

Regards,

Mark
