Nest Temperature Sensor

All 5 of my Nest Temperature sensors went offline yesterday.  I restarted the thermostat, replaced batteries in the sensors, even tried removing the sensor from my account and re-adding as a new device and I still get the error that the sensor cannot connect to the thermostat.  Its not a distance thing as I've tried to get them to reconnect by moving the sensors to the same room as the thermostat.  Wondering if there's any other options before I resort to completely factory resetting the thermostat and starting from scratch.

Hello maurerj26,

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues reconnecting your Nest Temperature Sensors back to your Wi-Fi network, and I appreciate all the steps you've taken. Let's sort this out.

On your actual thermostat, please check the power readings in the Technical Info settings. If the battery level drops to 3.7V, remove the display from its base and try charging it for an hour to recharge it faster. If it's under 3.8V, go to Reset and select Account Connection. This will disconnect it from your Wi-Fi network and account setup. Then follow these steps to reconfigure them:

  1. Go to the Network settings and reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network.
  2. Select the Nest App option in its settings.
  3. Open the Nest app and remove the thermostat.
  4. Proceed by adding the thermostat and completing the setup.
  5. Once done, set up the sensors and return them to the app.

Please let me know if that helps or if the issue still persists.

Thanks,

Mark
