Help please ... I have an old thermostat that went out and my wife and I always wanted to go to smart thermo and finally purchased the Google Nest Thermostat. My current wire setup is G/W/Y/Rh/Rc with a jumper from the Rh/Rc.
In the setup app I did not see a W or Y, only a W/W1 and a Y/Y1 im assuming these will be the correct one but when i also select the Rh & Rc it then says my system is not compatible, however when I come online here through the wire help section and select my wire config it says it may be compatible.... Im confused as to what wires I connect where and the 2 different answers with no solution has me more confused 😞
Hope someone can tell me what wires to use where or explain what smart thermostat will work with my setup because we really had our hopes up on this.
Thanks, Frankieb

Post a picture of the original thermostat wiring here. Clearly showing the terminal block labels

@Patrick_Caezza, I was going to attach pics but I get an error saying "I do not have permission to upload images" Should I just upload to an external site and send link?

@Patrick_Caezza , hopefully Im allowed to post an external site here with the pics, if not sorry go ahead and delete it.

Your current thermostat is only compatible with the Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd Gen do to the separate Rc and Rh wiring

Sorry, I completely missed that jumper.
You must look in the furnace/air handler and see where the red and blue wires terminate.

@Patrick_Caezza first off I'd like to say Thank you for taking your time to help me out 😀!
So even though there is a jumper from the Rc to the Rh, I still need the Learning Gen 3?
Thanks again!
