Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen) - UK VERSION

I have recently purchased a Nest Thermostat (3rd gen) and await it's arrival with keen anticipation.

My question: could I enquire as to whether the thermal sensor is housed within the Heat Link, or whether it is housed within the display?

I would have thought the latter, so presumably if the display is fitted to the stand, the sensor can be positioned anywhere (albeit within communicable range of the Heat Link and near to a mains socket).

Correct, the display is exactly the same as any other thermostat. The Heat Link is just a switching connection.
