Nest Thermostat - 6 Digit code on Thermostat vs 7 digit App requirement

Hello,

I'm trying to merge my Nest  Learning Thermostat 2 with my app. I could not find any posts that specifically addresses my issue.

I have downloaded the latest version of the nest app. My phone camera cannot process the QR code provided by the thermostat because it is blurry. I have to use to the code. The nest App asks for 7 digit code, while the thermostat only offers 6 digit code.

What is the solution to my issue?

Thank you for taking an interest in our community. I understand your frustration with your Nest Learning Thermostat 2nd Gen because it is not pairing with the Nest App. Don’t worry; it's a pleasure to assist you. 

Try to set it up in another way by following these steps:

• Press your thermostat’s ring to open the Quick View menu.
• Choose the Settings Nest settings icon.
• Turn the ring to the Nest app and press the ring to select it.
• Select the option Scan QR code. This option will make it easier to scan using your camera.
• Then follow the steps displayed on the Nest app to finish the setup process.
