Nest Thermostat Blows warm air during day, cools great at night

During the day, the AC blows warm air as if the fan was blowing but not the compressor.  The thermostat says 2 hours+.  At night, around 8 pm, it starts blowing cold air.  When I change the time on the thermostat, the AC blows cold air until the thermostat syncs up via the wifi.  Every time I change the time to evening time the ac cools.

Any ideas?

This sounds like you have a Cool Schedule that is active.  Check the cool schedule.

Thanks.  I have deleted the entire cooling schedule and reset.  But the same.  I’ll recheck and see.

Go into your Thermostat setting in the App, and turn off Auto schedule, As well.

@rangellalo1 , out of curiosity, what is the white wire in the * connector controlling?

OK, let me see if I understand your original message. You say that during the day, the Blower Fan comes on, but the outdoor compressor does not turn on?

I am not sure.  I know that everything was working fine until a few weeks ago when some chipmunks ate through the wires.  The AC tech repaired the wires, and all was good.  This happened a second time, and he repaired them again.  Then I started having the issues.

Do yourself a favor, have a new thermostat cable pulled though and conduit till it get inside your home. That will keep the critters away.
