The Nest Thermostat was installed in a new house/HVAC system approx. 4-years ago. Until today, it has functioned without an incident like this.
Today, the Nest changed itself to 68, when it was scheduled at 64!
The thermostat IS set to Heat.
There are 3-heating schedules -- none EXCEED 64-degrees!
What happened?
Why did the thermostat set itself to 68-degrees?
How can a similar incident be prevented in the future?

Hello Audiophile,
I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat that randomly changes its temperature. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
A few questions: is this the first time it occurs? Were there any of your family members who had access to your thermostat through the app? Also, are you enrolled in an energy-saving program with your utility company, such as Nest Renew or Rush Hour?
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark
