Nest Thermostat Display is Frozen - Restart Doesn't Work

Purchased the Nest Thermostat in 2014.  Worked fine all this time until my wife adjusted the schedule in October 2021.  Display is frozen, toggles back between home screen and menu screen, but cannot adjust the temperature or choose any options from the menu.  Can adjust temperature from droid phone app.  Restart options have not worked.  Removed the thermostat and push it together like a hamburger patty for 15 seconds and put thermostat back on the wall and into the cradle...appears to reboot, but does not fix issue.  Pushed the ring for 10 seconds while still installed in the cradle on the wall...reboots and does not fix the issue.  Out of known options.

This is a long shot, and you may have tried.

First plug a USB into the back of the display, leave for about 90 minutes to get fully charged.

Keep the USB plugged in, and do the following.

Do the hamburger reset, but 'twice' keep pressed until the house comes back on.

Try also, restarting like you have, but keep pressed until the house has comes back on the screen then release.

The solution to the issue was to simply replace the Nest with the newer Google Nest hardware.

That’s the worst solution to my problem, I already fixed tho, and I wasn’t related to the nest thermostat, it was the actual furnace who had a problem with a fuse
