Nest Thermostat E - Two systems/units

mmalj

Hi!

I am trying to get some compatibility information relating to a current Nest Thermostat E I have.

Setup:

AC unit (single zone) in attic, Baseboard water fed boiler (3 zone, 3 totally separate thermostats) in basement.

I have a second floor thermostat I would like to replace with Nest E. This thermostat controls the on/off for AC and the 2nd floor zone for heat.

Wiring:

RH, W (these come from one system)  & RC, Y, G (there is another white color wire, not connected to anything) - There is no jumper between the RH and RC or anywhere.

How can I wire up the Nest Thermostat E?

The blue wire connects to the Y screwThe blue wire connects to the Y screw

The thermostat that controls the AC and 2nd-floor zone needs to be a Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd Gen. This is because you have two separate systems and each has its own transformer.

The heat side would connect to the W and Rh terminals and the cooling side to the Rc, G, and Y terminals.
