Goodman non-communicating air handler, everything works perfectly. Heating, cooling, dehumidification all work perfectly and my bills are significantly lower even though we turn down to 64°F to sleep. Very happy with this setup except one thing:

If I manually turn on the fan from the app or the thermostat, I just get a spinning fan icon. No fan, just the icon spinning, as if the thermostat is getting feedback that indicates the fan is running.

I have a green wire, it’s in the correct position.

Equipment model numbers:
heat pump: GSZ140241
air handler: AVPTC25B14

Hey yanynel28,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about your Nest thermostat. I want to check on this further.

A few questions ― there is no air coming out of your vents when the fan is on, right? Did this Nest thermostat work with your HVAC system before or is this a first time setup? Also, what kind of Nest thermostat is this? If you could provide a photo of your old thermostat wires as well as how everything is wired with your Nest thermostat now, I would appreciate it.

Best,

Melba
