Nest Thermostat Gen 3 Thermostat | Google Assistant no longer activates Hot water

Hi.

I have been using Home Assistant to activate the Hot Water Boost for nearly a year.

This just stopped working about two weeks ago.

I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this and has a solution.

Thank you so much for reaching out to the community. I’m truly sorry that the Google Assistant doesn’t activate hot water; I know this is a helpful feature. I’m happy to help you!

To effectively troubleshoot, please answer the following questions:

  • Can the Nest Thermostat be controlled using the Nest app?
  • Are any voice commands working with the Nest Thermostat?
  • Were there any recent adjustments to your Wi-Fi network?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Please ensure the following:

  • Your mobile device and thermostat are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • The account you use for Google Assistant is the same as the one linked to your thermostat.

In the meantime, verify if the device is listed.

  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap your account icon in the upper-right corner.
  • Select “Assistant settings” and then “Devices.”
  • Please let me know if your device appears in the list.
