Nest Thermostat Not Compatible with Nest App

Why is the Nest Thermostat not showing up or compatible within the Nest App?  I have the Nest Thermostat connected to Google Home, but when I go through the process to add this product to the Nest App, only the Nest Learning Thermostat, Nest Thermostat E, and Nest Thermostat E with Heat Link E are the (3) listed Thermostats available to add.  The Nest Thermostat is not included in the add product options.

How can you sell a Nest product that is not compatible to the Nest App?  This is just ridiculous!

Please provide an update to when this product will be implemented into the Nest App.

The newish Google Nest Thermostat is only compatible with the Google Home App. At some point in the future, the Google Home App will replace the Nest App.

Patrick - thanks for the reply.  Unfortunately, the Nest App is much easier and more user friendly for setup, diagnostics, and has more features than the Google Home App.   You are taking a step back by replacing the Nest App with the Google Home App unless you make some serious upgrades to it.
