Nest Thermostat Only Cools using Heat Pump wiring when I have furnace

remzo

I have a conventional wiring setup. Y1, G, Rc, W, and C. My Gen 3 Nest thermostat will not blow cold air when wired this way. It will only blow cold when wired to Y1, G, OB(set to B), C and RH.

When I say it won't blow cold air I mean it only blows room temperature air not hot.

Why?

Hi remzo,

Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum — I appreciate the information you have already provided. I'm sorry for the delay. I'd like to take a closer look at it. Could you please share with us the photo of your system control board where the wires originally connected? Also, the make and model of it to further check the compatibility of your system to the Nest Learning Thermostat.

Best,

Jenelyn

Um the pics attached nearly a week ago did that already. I solved this problem by throwing the nest thermostat directly into the garbage where it belongs. Count me out. Closed topic.
