Nest Thermostat & Sensor Configuration for Two-Story Home

Alsachi
Community Member

Hi Nest community, I'm building a new home and want to use Nest products for temperature control. My house has two floors:

  • First floor: Living/dining room, kitchen, laundry room, small room
  • Second floor: Three bedrooms

I have a few questions:

  1. Can I achieve independent temperature control in each room using Nest thermostats and sensors?
  2. If so, how many of each do I need?
  3. Should I consider a Nest Hub for central control?
  4. Are there any compatibility issues I should be aware of with different Nest devices?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @Alsachi,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm happy to hear you want to use our Nest devices for temperature control. It is my pleasure to assist you right now.

We have the best smart Nest Thermostats to help you control the temperature, and we have the Nest sensors that you can use in different rooms. Please check this article to check the Nest thermostat compatibility.

The Nest Hub is created to control your smart devices with just a tap or your voice from one central display.

Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.

Best regards,

Gabriela
