I just built a new home and installed the learning thermostat and I have a ventilation system. Because my ventilation system is controlled separately from the thermostat, the wiring specific to the ventilation system was not part of the old thermostat and as a result is not part of my nest system. 3 questions as follows:
1. Will my nest work separate from the ventilation as my system control was before?
2. Is there a way to connect it to my nest?
3. Can I continue to operate it separately from my thermostat without problem? The new thermostat does not know I have a ventilation system due to the 2 controls so I am unsure.

Hi AC99,
Thank you for reaching out to our community.
I’m glad to know that you installed a Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) in your new home, where you have a ventilation system. Thank you for sharing with us the description of the way your ventilation system is being controlled and explaining the wiring of the ventilation system that is not part of the old thermostat you had. This information allows me to better understand your home environment related to ventilation and the thermostat and provide you with better assistance.
Based on the information you have provided, I’m responding to your questions:
