Nest Thermostat compatible?

Will a Nest or Nest Learning thermostat work with my older heat pump system

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

It appears to be Nest-compatible. Please follow these wiring diagrams to ensure it is configured after the installation and setup:

• White wire > W2/Aux terminal (Heat)
• Orange wire > O/B terminal (Heat Pump)
• Yellow wire > Y1 terminal (Cool)
• Brown wire > G terminal (Fan)
• Red wire > R/Rc/Rh terminal (Power)
• Blue wire > C terminal (24 V Common wire)

One last Question - It does not appear a Nest Thermostat can be added to the "Nest" App.   Only a Nest Learning and Nest E thermostat

Is that correct?   I can access through Google Home but the "Nest" App UI is much better IMO

Hey HatterasNC,

The Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E can be added in the Nest app, and it can also be seen in the Google Home app. However, the Nest Thermostat 2020 can only be added and seen in the Google Home app.
