I got up this morning and thought it was a little cool so I checked the Nest app on my phone to turn up the heat and apparently there was some sort of update over night and my phone is no longer connected with the thermostat. How do I get it to reconnect? it keeps asking for a code or QR code to enter or scan? Where do I get That? I was checking settings on the thermostat and it said the last update was 02/21/22 which is today so it had to happen early this morning.

Pull the thermostat off the wall ( touch part only) and you will see the QR label in the back. You may need to reinstall, but follow the steps.Hope this helps.

The same thing happened to me. I cannot for the life of me get it reconnected. I have tried everything I can think of and nothing. Last week Google sent me a security alert issue last week so, I changed my password. This is so frustrating. I would like to speak with a REAL person. This researching online is not working.

I discovered that there were two accounts or separate sub-icons to my Nest app icon. When I held my finger in the Nest icon a sub box popped up that showed two separate living room locations. By switching between the two I was able to find the one that was actually connected with my Nest thermostat. Back in business. Hope this helps.
