The thermostat in my apt comes with 5 cables including the C - common. When I tried to change the thermostat to the Nest Learning last gen it was not turning on the AC. The technician came and told me that the thermostat was not sending any signal to the unit so I thought he was avoiding to change the thermostat. When I did it started but only the fan was working no cool air was coming from the vents. I change the thermostat to the old one and the AC was working fine.
I’ve read that there is an issue with the thermostat that is not able to work with low voltage.
Has anybody found a solution or I just wasted my money 🫠?
