The Nest Smart Thermostat (not the Nest Learning thermostat which by the way works) will not respond to voice commands from Google Assistant. The thermostat will respond to all commands from the Google Home App including automations. Automations that are setup as "say Hey Google, Make it warm" that set the thermostat to heat and set the temperature to 70 work when they are selected by touch but fail when attempting to use them with voice.
