Morning all,
I hope someone can help.
We have 2 Nest Learning Thermostats - one upstairs and one downstairs.
We have auto-schedule turned off. We have true radiant turned off. Safety temperature set at 4.5.
I had completely cleared the schedule for the downstairs thermostat so it is completely manual. However every day, it is continued to come on at 5am at 20 degrees. When I look at the schedule it is no longer clear but set to 5am 20 degrees and the same at 11pm.
If I clear them all today then it will just re-add them after midnight and come on again.
How do I stop it?
I don't want the heating coming on at 5am when everyone is still asleep, or 11pm either.

Could it be the winter seasonal saving thing? Nothing that is set to on if I go onto the energy history page and says 'your new schedule will save energy for the rest of the season (weather dependent)'.

Hi,
did you restart the device after clearing the schedule? There's a specific voice for this near clearing functions.
If you haven't restarted, the device couldn't apply the new status (no schedule).

@VP86 that didn't work.
Yesterday I cleared the schedule on the app and then on the thermostat itself and restarted it. The schedule was clear when I went to bed about 10.30pm.
It came on again at 11pm. And then when I looked at the schedule it was set to 11pm and 5am every day again.
Auto schedule is off, true radiant is off. The schedule was cleared. It's starting to really annoy me now!

You should reset all the device and see what happen! Otherwise contact the Nest assistance 🤷🏻♂️

Hi there,
I cleared the schedule on the app and then reset the thermostat but the issue persisted.
I then turned off the winter seasonal saving thing and that seemed to crack it. So the winter saving feature was turning on the downstairs thermostat in the middle of the night which wasn't that helpful really.

Hey there Chrisc,
Awesome — glad to hear that your issue is fixed. Thanks for sharing the step that helped resolve your concern.
It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.
Best,
Mel
