Nest Thermostat power test not working after power connector installed.

I have a gas forced air system that has a fast stat 3000 system as the original thermostat wire was only two wire. The Fast stat 3000 does not have a C wire so I installed the power connector in tandem. I have checked all my wiring and everything looks good. When I go to run the power test on the thermostat it just stays in testing mode and doesn't really change. I have it running for half hour now and still no change or test completed. Any suggestions?

 Hello ssoares1985,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Community Forum. I’m sorry to hear that your Nest Power connector is not working as you expected after installation. So don’t worry; I'm happy to help.

To provide you with accurate troubleshooting steps, please help me out by answering the following questions:

  • Do you see an error message displayed on your thermostat?
  • What type of HVAC system do you have? (Heating and cooling, heating only, or cooling only)
  • Could you please share a picture of this installation? (wiring system connected to the thermostat and Nest power connector installation)

In the meantime, I can share more information regarding how to install the Nest Power Connector and installation guides:

If you have any more information that could be helpful, please let me know.

Best regards,

Daniel
