Hi @jills77

Thank you for your timely post and the comprehensive information you've provided.

I understand you're encountering that you have some issues with your Nest Thermostat not cooling and it runs the display 72 degrees in 2 hours but still not cooling. I know how frustrating it is. Don't worry,  I'm here to help you.

To assist you better, please provide the following information:

  • What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  • Did you try using the Help Center or troubleshooter before contacting support? If so, which steps have you tried already?
  • When did cooling last work?
  • Is this a new installation?
  • Are you receiving any error codes?
  • What type of system do you have? (Heat Pump or conventional type)
  • If it's a new installation, provide a picture of your previous wiring configuration and a picture of the current one.
  • Have you experienced extremely hot weather lately?
  • Have you set up a temperature schedule for your thermostat?
  • Do you know if your Nest Thermostat is a NLT or Nest thermostat E?

Thank you for your patience. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Sincerely,

Jeremy
