Hello Rogelioleon0221,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry, and I'm sorry that your heat won't come on. I'm here to help.

To isolate:

  • Is the Nest thermostat newly installed?
  • Does the thermostat screen indicate that it’s actively calling for heating?
  • When did the heating last work?
  • Did you select the correct fuel type?
  • Are you getting any wire reports or message codes when calling for heat?

Have a look at this guide to troubleshoot strange heating or cooling behavior.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Mark

  • Is the Nest thermostat newly installed? So I just installed the warranty replacement cause back plate was not working on original.
  • Does the thermostat screen indicate that it’s actively calling for heating? It turns red and also shows 2 stage
  • When did the heating last work? With old thermostat which is icomfort by Lennox.
  • Did you select the correct fuel type? Single fuel.
  • Are you getting any wire reports or message codes when calling for heat? No messages just shows like heat is working.

Hi there,

Thanks for letting me know. Let's sort this out.

It appears that your thermostat somehow sends a signal to call for heat, but your system is not responding since cooling works. To make sure it's in the right configuration, do you mind if I ask you to send us a picture of your previous and current thermostat wiring setup?

I'll look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Mark

Hey Rogelioleon0221,

I wanted to see if you still needed help. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Best regards,

Mark

Yes I still need assistance and here is the current wiring. I don't have picture of previous wiring but I know it was 4 wires since the thermostat was icomfort which is communicating.

Hi Rogelioleon0221,

Thanks for sharing the diagram from your Nest thermostat. That would help.

Please take a look at this guide to troubleshooting a heat pump and let me know if it helps.

Yes I have completed these steps and the A/C works perfectly fine even as stage 2 but just the heat is not working at all.

Is there a way for someone from Google to reach out to Lennox support please as they will not speak with home owners.

I know there are other users in this community who have been able to get this setup to work but there are no photos in the chats or they have been removed.

Lennox will speak to a representative from Google to go over what needs to be done in order for this to work.

Can someone please reach out to Lennox.

You will make many customers happy if this can be done.

This issue has been resolved and without the help of anyone over at google or your local pro's OnTech.

Neither google support reps or Ontech (Dish Network Technician) which I paid for had any clue what to do or wanted to even take the next step.

All anyone from your company had to do was call Lennox and have a 5 minute conversation and they would have provided the resolution right over the phone. They will only speak to the authorized Lennox technicians which OnTech is not authorized or certified!!!!

I hired a Lennox technician in my area and he was able to call in an speak to their support team who helped out with the step by step instructions.

I will share the pictures and steps on next post but I just want Google to realize they completely failed their customers on this type of issue and just dropped the ball entirely.

Thanks for no help Google but I hope what I share helps others so please don't close this thread as this is a resolution to a big issue.
