Nest Thermostat won't charge. First it wasn't charging on the wall from the furnace, which was checked, has power and is fine. The Nest display said no power. When the thermostat is off the wall the heater repair tech tested and their is power at the wall and he could connect some wires and make the heater run manually from there.
First, charging the nest via usb worked, but it didn't hold the charge long. It would only make the heater start one time. Now, the thermostat won't charge even on the USB. Do I need a new Nest?
If so, how do I tell which Nest I have so that I can just plug a new one on the existing base?
