Hello, I bought a second hand nest thermostat gen 3. The seller swears that it worked when uninstalled but it does not work when I tried to install it. I got an error code that there was no power to the c wire so I called a repairman. He looked at the system and did not find anything wrong so he reinstalled the old thermostat and it worked perfectly. He told me the nest was bad. He also didn't seem like he liked the nest that much so I am wondering if there is something he either didn't try or doesn't know about. Please help.
