Hi EdwardT
Hi

You can turn ECO off. It goes to eco when it senses no movement so it believes you’ve left your home and it’s attempting to save energy. You can change your ECO temps so it’s not so drastic of a change or shut it down if the thermostat is located in a place where it doesn’t see enough movement to stay off ECO.

That’s not how it is. If I turn eco on it changes random, when I set the temperature it changes it sometimes to eco others times the a different temperature to what’s set. As for setting a higher temperature for eco I did this last year.

Hey there SophieF,
I'm really sorry about the delayed response on this thread, but were you still encountering this issue, even with Eco Mode disabled? If so, does the problem occur when you change the settings from the Google Nest/Home app, or when you change the settings from the Thermostat itself? I would try to manually change the settings from both, to see if the problem persists across different methods.
I look forward to your response, and if you had any other questions or concerns, please let me know.
Thank you,
Jeran
