Umm. . Not nest hello, but the nest thermostat. Someone stole my thermostat while I was moving. I still have it linked to my account, so nobody else can use it right? I was wondering if there was a way to track it. I looked it up and it shows ip address. That should be a way to do so. You all will prolly tell me there's no way to track it, which then I'll prolly resort to hiring a geek to do it for me. I don't care how much I have to spend, I really don't. I just want to know who had big enough balls to steal from me, I hate a theif!

Firstly, sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately, there is no way to track Nest Thermostats. Technically speaking, you cannot trace where it is based on an IP address, that's just not how it works I'm afraid. As for nobody else being able to use it, that's not the case. If the thief factory resets it, they'll be able to use it just like normal. I'd suggest your energy is much better spent reporting it formally to local law enforcement.
